BIBENDUM MICHELIN, Print on vintage paper. 28cm x 19cm // 11" x 7.5".
The illustration is a reinterpretation of the famous advertising character of the French tyre brand Michelin, Bibendum (also known as the "Michelin Man" or the "Michelin Doll"). The artist, Miguel Ángel Aranda, originally made the drawing in graphite pencil on paper and then printed it on original pages from the La Petite Illustration publication from the years 1900 to 1950, intervening each print by hand with white ink to create a unique graphic work on each of the sheets.
The drawing comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity printed on adhesive paper so that it can be stuck to the back of the frame. The print is printed on original paper from the French publication La Petite Illustration and is numbered on the back to match the number on the certificate.
The work is carefully wrapped before being shipped and is made from Valencia, Spain, with certified shipping and tracking number provided. This work is part of the artist's series of classic drawings.
